Needs more

More bass and less repititiveness. Change up the instruments every now and then, maybe give the 16th notes some thirds to work off of, try oing things in octaves.

Its ok.

Moltov responds:

I disagree with the bass part, but maybe it is a little repetitive, a lot of good songs are. thanks for your review.

hmm

I find the change to the piano at 27 wasnt smooth enough. Id fade it in or something, and I feel like it doesnt go with the synth very well.

The transistions feel a bit too sudden, and it could use with a bit of dynamic level balancing.

Wasnt very fond of the ending.

Its good for an ol dug up project though.

Radidsh responds:

Thanks a lot for listening and for taking your time to review, it is appreciated. =3

This is not one of the projects that I feel are the most successful of mine, hehe. ^^

It does sound like it would be in a game.

Well the percussion is pretty darn good but thats the only thing that strikes me as good. Everything else just seems there.

I'm not fond of whatever instrument ur using that sounds kinda like a harpsichord or of the dissonent parts you added in there.

The string section feels thrown in, theres no real tune in there, and They sound particularly fake.

I KNOW the strings are Fake but you used em in a way that brings out the fakeness of their sound.

However it does sound like it would fit certain parts in a game and I wouldnt really complain if i heard it at the right time.

Could be better though.

TheInfinityVirus responds:

Yeah, the strings do kind of feel like they were thrown in. Though to be fair, they were the parts I spent the most time and effort on. But to each his own, right.

It's probably because I wrote the strings as being played on a keyboard, instead of being actually played live. I've still got a few things to learn when it comes to that.

Thanks for the review, brah. Probably one of the most helpful I've gotten in a while. :V

Missed oppurtunity

I think at about 58 seconds you have a goood chance to really get the song going and get something good moving.

jk182 responds:

I feel that. Thats actually about where I expect the "chorus" to come in

Good concept too much fuzz

This good be an amazing song if you fixed all the fuzz and distortion. Until then its a mediocre song with a good concept.

IceMasterDlux responds:

Thanks man! You're right, there is too much fuzzy distortion and wha-not. i'm glad to hear that because this gives me an opportunity to fix it up and reupload it. Thanks again, honesty is #1! God bless!

Wrong title

Like everyone else said the title doesnt really suit, but neither does final battle, and titles are pretty important.

However It is a good song, I would just suggest a bit more dynamic balance between various instruments and not using the drumroll thing at the end of every little phrase, since it has sort of an effect of diminishing returns if you use it too often.

Grats on the song of the week.

Rhyhart responds:

yea I would change it but it's to late I have to many listens. Thanks for the review though!!!

Good work

Its a damn fine song.

I just think you could have added a bit of depth to the melody by instrument stacking, and maybe added an echo to the effects that you put at the end of prhrases.

ParadoxInc responds:

Thanks:)

Let down.

I really liked the effects you chose, and with the piano and snare doing their litlte intro i was looking foward to the rest, and I was let down.

Gotta be honest with you, I HATE whatever bass that was. It was awful, It really did hurt my ears. The wavy sound it made was just weird that low, it didn't fit with the piano, yet it took control of the song in a bad way.

Sorry if it upsets you, but i really did not enjoy this, but im pretty sure you could do better, judging from your intro and your ending and your effect choice, in addition the otherwise nice drumming.

Wasnt too fond of the deep drum either.

Better luck next time.

majer responds:

no offense at all friend, that wobble bass is a key sound for the dubstep genrethat i grown fond of
this is also not the final mix and it still needs plenty of work ^_^
thank you for the very honest reveiw
check back time time i would like to see more honest reveiws from you

It's gettin there.

I like the beat, but im not real into the bass, you could have done a bit better job and giving the bass a purpose other then being underlying sound. It needs to set a tone, since it comes in early. Is the song supposed to be a boss battle or is it supposed to be a dance? Make the bassline set it up so the rest of the parts dont have to work so hard to define it.

Also make sure you don't get tooo far away from the original thing.

Also, the ending felt lazy, like you just decided "ok im done" and you ended the song.

Other then that its decent. Im not gonna download it, but i wouldnt complain if i heard it in a vid somewhere. Always room for improvement though.

T-Free responds:

Thank you very much for the construcive criticism, Cardboardowl! I'll work on the track again, considering what you said. The bass will be a difficult thing to work on, but I'll give my best to make it even better. :)

boring.

nothing happens in the song really. i know its a work in progress, but you havent really done anything.

Also, names of songs are very important to give the person listening a feeling of what they should be thinking about. This does not feel like a snowstorm at all.

I'd either seriously kick it up a notch or just drop it.

Pokemeon responds:

You know its people like you that suck alot of dick. and how haven't i really done anything? lets see there's the kick snares percussion's bass hats rolls all in so far... as i mentioned its a W.I.P so ofcourse there not alot going on but dont fucking say i haven't done anything.
